This week we’ve published our guide to the best medium family cars based on MOT results. Top of that list was the Mercedes A Class, so we thought we’d try and find one for our 5 Star car of the week. To qualify, a car must have a completely clear MOT history – no failures, not even any advisories.
We found one, and it does sound like good value – 2008/58, 58k recorded miles, and an asking price of £2,500. It’s on sale at a dealer in Leicester, and you can find out more about it here.
If you’re trying to find a good used car you can do what we did to narrow down our search for this week’s car –
- We put the keywords “service history” into the Autotrader search, as a car that’s been maintained properly is more likely to be in good condition.
- We filtered on mileage below 60,000 miles, as while there are some good higher mileage cars out there, on average lower-mileage cars show less signs of wear and tear.
